Angesichts der zunehmenden Extremwetterereignisse wie D\u00fcrre, Hitze, \u00dcberschwemmungen und Hagel, die der Klimawandel mit sich bringt, wird uns der Wert von B\u00e4umen f\u00fcr Schatten und K\u00fchlung immer bewusster. Einst ein selbstverst\u00e4ndlicher Teil der Landwirtschaft, verschwanden B\u00e4ume mit der Industrialisierung von den Feldern und erleben nun unter dem Namen &#171;Agroforst&#187; eine Renaissance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Podcast Redaktorin Anke Beermann spricht mit Johanna R\u00fcegg, Umweltnaturwissenschaftlerin und Agroforst-Koordinatorin am FiBL, die auch zu Kakao in den Tropen forscht, sowie Matthias Klaiss, gelernter biologisch-dynamischer Landwirt und Agrarwissenschaftler, der am FiBL Betriebe im Ackerbau und zu Agroforst ber\u00e4t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die beiden Wissenschaftler*innen arbeiten gemeinsam an einem von der Leopold Bachmann Stiftung unterst\u00fctzten Projekt. Seit 2024 entsteht in Frick eine Agroforstanlage, die als Lern-, Austausch- und Forschungsort dient. Dort wachsen Waldb\u00e4ume, Hecken, Obstb\u00e4ume und Str\u00e4ucher, um die Obst- und Wertholzproduktion zu f\u00f6rdern, die Futtervielfalt f\u00fcr K\u00fche zu erh\u00f6hen, den Ausgleich extremer Wetterereignisse zu unterst\u00fctzen und die Biodiversit\u00e4t zu st\u00e4rken.
