Auf 950 m \u00fc. M. setzen sie auf Permakultur, Direktvermarktung und Wissensvermittlung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicole und Bernhard Knechtle hatten jahrelang das Gasthaus Aescher im Alpstein gef\u00fchrt \u2013 bis ihr Herzblut f\u00fcr die Gastronomie unter dem touristischen Rummel unterging. \u00abEs gab kaum mehr Platz f\u00fcr uns als Familie\u00bb, erz\u00e4hlt Nicole Knechtle. Sie beschlossen, ins Tal nach Weissbad zu ziehen, wo sie 7 ha Land von ihrer Grossmutter \u00fcbernehmen konnten. Dieses war zuvor verpachtet und konventionell bewirtschaftet worden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mischkulturen und grosse Vielfalt an Pflanzen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ein Haus und eine kleine Scheune waren bereits vorhanden. Alles andere entwickelte sich: \u00abWir wollten etwas Neues aufbauen\u00bb, erz\u00e4hlt Nicole Knechtle, die einst nach ihrer KV-Ausbildung eine Zweitlehre als Landwirtin angeh\u00e4ngt hatte. \u00abEs zog uns zu den Tieren und zum Anbau von Gem\u00fcse und Obst.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es war klar, dass sie die 80 Aren ebenfalls nach den Grunds\u00e4tzen der Permakultur bewirtschaften w\u00fcrden. Dazu jedoch stand viel Arbeit an. Sie strukturierten den ganzen Garten um, mit drei Teichen im Wasserkreislauf sowie Kulturen im Terrassenanbau mit Erntewegen den H\u00f6henlinien entlang. Zudem begannen Nicole und Bernhard Knechtle, mit dem lokalen Verein \u00abDer Kulturgarten\u00bb zusammenzuarbeiten. Im Rahmen dieses Projekts k\u00f6nnen die Mitglieder eine w\u00f6chentliche Gem\u00fcsetasche abonnieren oder ein Selbsternte-Abo l\u00f6sen. Auf diese Weise helfen rund 40 Personen regelm\u00e4ssig im Garten mit.
